Final Selection Team Europe Captain Padraig Harrington has announced his captains picks for the upcoming September competition which will see Padraig Harrington, Ian Poulter and Sergio Garcia joining the strong European side. In terms of experience and success Harrington’s team European team have a clear advantage over USA.
The first team to reach 14 ½ points wins the Ryder Cup. The European team is the defending champion and will retain the cup if the matches at Whistling Straits end in a tie.
The Big Debut
Shane Lowry will make his debut at this years Ryder cup after fellow Irish man and captain Padraig Harington named him for the European team. Playing in the Ryder cup has been a long-time dream of Lowry’s and he commented that it has been his number one goal for the last two years. Shane Lowry makes a great addition to this years European team and we wish him the best of luck at the upcoming competition.
